Earth Day Celebrations at the Peedam

Sri Narayani Peedam celebrated Earth Day on April 22nd, 2010 with the student artists of the Sri Narayani Vidyalaya School attempting to break the Guiness Book of Records for the world's longest painting by artist J. Mithra. The theme was Creating the Awareness for Prevention of Global Warming.


 
 

The event started at 8:15 am on Thursday April 22nd 2010 and it ended at 11:45 am on Friday April 23rd, 2010. The painting was an amazing 150 metres long.

Here the students show resilience, patience and extreme effort over several hours night and day to accomplish the feat.
