Rangoli Competition

A Rangoli or Kolam competition was held on Thursday January 15th 2009, at the Sripuram as part of the Sri Narayani Peedam Pongal celebrations. It was a day of fun and excitement as several ladies of all ages from all the different departments of the Peedam came out to show their skills.


 
 

Rangoli is a very popular art form in India. It is a form of painting that uses rice flour in various colours. The rangoli designs are usually done in the entranceway outside homes in India.
