SNH&RC - Medical Camps

During the month of January, 2009 the Community Health Department of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre conducted a Mega Camp in a joint effort with the K. G. Hospital as part of their ongoing Outreach Program.


 
 

Mega Camp

The Mega Camp was conducted on January 24th, 2009 at the Sankar Residency in Vellore. The Vellore District Collector Mr. Rajendiran, IAS was on hand to inaugurate the camp. The team of doctors conducting the camp included Dr. Subapriya, Dr. Anitha, Dr. Niranjan, Dr. Vishwapriya, Dr. Raghul and Dr. Jasmin. They specialized in the field of General Medicine, Ortho, Diabetology, Cardiology and Nephrology. The doctors examined and gave free medicines to over 250 patients at this camp.

Ante Natal Care Camps

Ante Natal Care Camps were conducted on January 7th, 13th, 21st & 28th 2009 from Raja Palayam to Pazhaveri, Kudisai to Vasanthanadai, Tharvazhi to Eriputhur and Ariyur Kuppam to Irular Colony. The Auxiliary Nurse examined over 100 pregnant women who were treated and given free medicines, iron tablets, injections and counselling as required.

Dental Care Camps

Dental Care Camps were conducted on January 6th, 9th, 22nd, 24th and 29th, 2009 at the Elementary School in Kudisai, the Middle School in Marudhavalli Palayam, the Elementary School in Sekanoor and at the Sankar Residency Vellore. Dr. Anitha did the general and dental check-ups for more than 250 students. Free medicines were given to those who needed it. Those requiring further treatment were advised to come to the hospital.

Neurological Camp

A camp was conducted on January 10th, 2009 at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre for patients with neurological problems. Dr. G. Prem Kumar treated over 50 patients free of charge.
