Sri Narayani Hospital - Medical Camps

During the month of January, 2008 the Community Health Department of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre conducted many Medical Camps as part of their Outreach Program.


 
 

This month they conducted camps for Hepatitis B Vaccinations, Polio Vaccinations, Paediatric, General Medicine and Ante Natal Care Home Visits.

Hepatitis "B" Vaccination Camps

Hepatitis "B" vaccination Camps were held on the 5th and 19th of January, 2008 at the V.R. Palayam, Chinna Allapuram. Dr. T. Kannaki and the R.M.O. Medical Team administered over 150 doses of vaccinations free of charge.

Polio Vaccination Camps

Polio Vaccination Camps were held on the 6th, 7th and 8th of January, 2008 at the Hospital & at the Sripuram. Dr. T. Kannaki, R.M.O. and Team administered over 2,000 doses of polio vaccinations free of charge.

Paediatric Camps

Paediatric Camps were held on the 6th, 22nd and 29th, of January, 2008 at the Hospital in Thirumalaikodi, Vasanthapuram. Dr. Simi, Dr. Narendra Babu and Dr. Raju examined over 320 children for common paediatric problems like the cold and cough, asthma, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of weight and appetite, skin diseases, heart diseases and diseases due to malnutrition. All the children were treated and given free medicines as required.

General Medicine Camp

The General Medicine Camp was held on the 28th of January, 2008 at the Government High School in Vallanderamam. Dr. T. Kannaki R.M.O. and Dr. Lakshmanan, Duty Doctor examined over 100 patients for common diseases that exist for those who live in unhygienic conditions. They treated all the patients and gave out free medicines as required to each patient.

Ante Natal Care Camps

Ante Natal Care Camps were held on the 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st of January, 2008 from Pulimedu to Vallandiramam, Ariyur kuppam to Bhudur, Rajapalayam to Agamedu and Mulagate to Eripudhur. A team of nurses examined over 115 pregnant women for intra uterus growth retardation, low lying placenta, hydromnios, any uterus diseases etc. The nurses provided free injections and iron tablets for those that are anaemic and advised those who may need to be hospitalized.
