Sri Narayani Hospital - Medical Camps

During the month of May, 2008 the Community Health Department of the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre conducted many Medical Camps as part of their Outreach Program.


 
 

This month they conducted camps for Gynae Checks, Ante Natal Care Home Visits, Paediatrics and Blood Donation.

Gynaecological Camps

The Gynae Camps were held on the 3rd, 15th and 22nd of May, 2008 at the Hospital at Govindareddy palayam, Jamalpuram. Dr. Madhuri, Dr. Subapriya and Dr. Kavithabalaji examined over 100 patients for menstrual problems, lower abdominal pain, discharges, prolapsed uterus and other gynae disorders. They treated all the patients and gave out free medicines as required to the patients.

Paediatric Camps

The Paediatric Camps were held on the 10th, 15th and 22nd of May, 2008 at the Hospital at Govindareddy palayam, Jamalpuram. Dr. Simikiruthiga and Dr. Raju examined over 60 children for common paediatric problems like the cold and cough, asthma, vomiting diarrhoea, loss of weight and appetite, skin diseases, heart diseases and diseases due to malnutrition. They treated all the children and gave out free medicines to everyone as required.

 

Ante Natal Care Camps

Ante Natal Care Camps were held on the 6th and 20th of May, 2008 from Ariyur to Govindareddy Palayam and Kudisai to Vallandiramam. The Auxiliary Nurses examined over 50 pregnant women for intra uterus growth retardation, low lying placenta, hydromnios, any uterus disease etc. and provided injections and iron tablets for those that are anaemic and referred those who may need to be hospitalized. They treated all the women and gave out free medicines to them as required.

Blood Donation Camp

A Blood Donation Camp was held on the 13th of May, 2008 at the Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre to encourage eligible donors to give blood as there is always a shortage of blood for patients that need it. Dr. Rekha took blood from over 20 generous donors.
