Mathru Ganga - Water Distribution

During the last three summer seasons, the town of Vellore experienced a very bad dry spell and there was an acute shortage of drinking water. Immediately, Amma purchased four large tankers and supplied over 50,0000 gallons of water to about 100,000 people every day for a period of close to 3 weeks. Donations have been made to various institutions to dig bore-wells, improve rainwater harvesting and sanitation facilities.
