Narayani Seva - Anna Dhanam

Anna Dhanam’ (Food Donations) is considered as the best form of charity. In this form of charity the recipients eat until their hunger is satisfied and would say “I have had enough”. In other forms of charitable acts or donations the recipient will very rarely use the word - ‘enough’.
 
 

 

Sri Narayani Amma’s food donation projects are called ‘Narayani Seva’ (Service to Narayani). All those who come to the Peedam and participate in the daily activities are provided with meals. Currently, meals are served to an average of 1000 people every day. A large hall and kitchen has been constructed to cater for the rapid increase in the number of people being served each day. Unless, mankind is provided with certain essentials of life it will not be possible for them to learn about spirituality.

One should consider it a privilege to be able to participate in this project, whether be it volunteering one's time to help serve the food or by sending donations to the Peedam to help support the project.
